Manufacturing company’s ‘special’ support for hospice art trail

A Worcester-based business which has backed all three of the city’s public art trails has thrown its support behind a fourth event next summer.

Global manufacturing company, Southco Manufacturing Ltd, has signed up to sponsor Peter Rabbit™ in the warrens of Worcester, having been a big part of the city’s giraffe, elephant and penguin trails which first began in 2018.

Seventy-five Peter Rabbit™ sculptures, large and small, will go on display across the city for eight weeks next summer, before each large sculpture is auctioned to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice. The smaller rabbits will be returned to the schools and groups which decorated them.

Each large sculpture is being funded by companies and individuals from across Worcestershire and beyond – with just a handful of sponsorship opportunities remaining.

Any school or community group in the county can apply to receive a mini Peter Rabbit™ sculpture before transforming it from plain white to a work of art. Places are limited and will be drawn at random.

Peter Rabbit™ in the warrens of Worcester is supported by Presenting Partners Chapel & Friary Walk, Connect Worcestershire, DRPG, Worcester BID and Worcestershire Ambassadors, and Media Partners the Worcester News and BBC Hereford & Worcester.

The project is also supported by The World of Peter Rabbit™, which is managed by Penguin Ventures, the licensing and consumer products division of Penguin Random House Children’s UK.
