Global communications group backs Worcester art project

Worcestershire-based global creative communications group, DRPG, is the latest local organisation to partner in next summer’s Peter Rabbit™ themed art trail being brought to the city by St Richard’s Hospice.

The Hartlebury-based company, which played a key role in the hospice’s giraffe, elephant and penguin trails, will also act as an official supplier to Peter Rabbit™ in the warrens of Worcester.

A DRPG rabbit sculpture will be brought to life by an artist’s design and auctioned at the end of the project to raise vital funds for the free, ongoing care and support offered by St Richard’s to people with an illness that cannot be cured and their loved ones.

The trail begins on Monday, 12 July and runs for eight weeks until Sunday, 5 September 2027. Thirty-five large fibreglass rabbit sculptures will bring a splash of colour to Worcester’s streets and public spaces to form an interactive art trail.

Peter Rabbit™ in the warrens of Worcester builds on three hugely successful hospice-run trails in 2018, 2021 and 2024, which raised £1.2million combined for local hospice care.

Sara Matthews, Business Development Manager at St Richard’s, said: “We’re excited to have our friends at DRPG on board as a partner and official supplier once again after their wonderful support for the giraffes, elephants and penguins.

Alongside 35 large rabbit sculptures, the summer 2027 art trail will feature a collection of 40 smaller fluffy friends decorated by schools and community groups and displayed through city shop windows and Chapel & Friary Walk Shopping Centres.

Local schools and groups can register interest in decorating a sculpture on the trail website: https://warrensofworcester.co.uk/learning-programme/

Peter Rabbit™ in the warrens of Worcester is supported by Presenting Partners Chapel & Friary Walk, DRPG, Worcester BID and Worcestershire Ambassadors, and Media Partners the Worcester News and BBC Hereford & Worcester.

The project is also supported by The World of Peter Rabbit™, which is managed by Penguin Ventures, the licensing and consumer products division of Penguin Random House Children’s UK.
